Send a cover letter and resume to a company I want to work for even if they do not post any job openings?
I am currently employed but am looking to move on sometime in the future. There are several companies I am interested in working for. I’m needing some advice if it is ok to send a cover letter/resume to a business I am interested in even if they may not have any openings at this time. If so, what should I say in the cover letter? I don’t want it to be too generic but at the same time don’t want to be too specific to where I may miss out on something.
