What is the best resume format type for my situation?

I held an administrative assistant position for 4 years. It was ok…not a job I loved, but I didn’t **** it either. I have years of experience in drafting. I enjoyed doing this type of work and want to re-enter the field.
The only reason I left the drafting field is because my heart wasn’t in doing a thorough job search due to the death of my mother 2 days after I was laid off from a drafting job I truly enjoyed.
